A trained actor and comedian, Elly is an ardent believer in healing through arts and performance. She is founder of two theatre companies for people with the lived experience, Puzzle Factory and The Looney Awards. Her highly acclaimed one woman show Now Who’s Crazy Now?, chronicling her experiences living with and recovering from serious mental health issues, has played to audiences across North America. Writing and performing her inspirational story of recovery led Elly to develop Now Who’s Talking, a program that helps people living with mental health challenges tell stories that focus on their recovery process. Elly is the owner of Who’s Crazy Now? where she provides recovery consulting services and workshops. Her flagship workshop Recipe for Recovery has benefited people in recovery as well as practitioners transitioning from the medical model to the recovery model of services.
Elly is dedicated to helping families understand what their loved ones are experiencing and supporting them in their recovery process. Her passion for her work comes from knowing that recovery is possible for everyone. She is delighted to be sharing her expertise with the team at Family Outreach and Response.
